Welcome to ORBITpics
ABOVE THE ATMOSPHERE, IN THE BRIGHTEST SUN, IS WHERE WE TAKE OUR PICTURES
At OrbitPics, our hobby is high altitude photography, sending our cameras to the edge of space, getting high-quality images and videos of amazing journeys. Against the darkness of space, with the curved Earth below, these images elevate their subjects higher than any other.

High Altitude photography is my new passion, and here is where I share it with you. This Christmas Elf was photographed at 80,000 feet above the Canadian Rockies.
The short video edit of the Elf’s Christmas Journey was our latest fun project, we hope you and your kids like it!

For Valentine’s, we thought it would be fun to photograph a heart-shaped hand warmer! We’re always using them to keep our cameras warm, it can get down to -50 degrees Centigrade very quickly!

We made a video of our favorite beer floating lazily on a summer’s day over the green fields of Alberta! This was a low-altitude launch and recovery. We’re always having a bit of fun!orbitpics.com
I’m a lifelong Star Trek fan, so why not send a Enterprise Communicator Pin high into the Final Frontier! I was hoping it might parachute down to Vulcan (Alberta), but sadly, it drifted right over! Still, it was a successful mission!

If you want any tips on how to launch and retrieve weather balloons, keeping cameras warm, or any questions at all, feel free to contact me at orbitpics@hotmail.com
